Mining law is one area of law that's experiencing very rapid development. The government, with the approval of the DPR RI, has enacted Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning mineral and coal mining. There are two things regulated in this law, namely mineral mining materials and coal. Mining is an activity for exploring, exploiting and selecting minerals, refining, and other underground operations.
Types of mining disputes that have been handled during the implementation of mining activities include:
Dispute between indigenous people and mining companies
Environmental pollution disputes
Land rights disputes
Share divestment dispute
Community development program dispute
Dispute over work contract area
Labor disputes
